Did you know 1 in 3 Americans are at risk for pre diabetes or diabetes?

World Diabetes Day is the primary global awareness campaign of the diabetes world and is held on November 14 each year. It was introduced in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization in response to the alarming rise of diabetes around the world.
Each year, World Diabetes Day is centered on a theme related to diabetes.
What are the key messages this year? They are:
  • Act to change your life today
Healthy eating is an important part of managing all types of diabetes.
  • Act to change the world tomorrow
Access to affordable healthy food is essential to reducing the global burden of diabetes and ensuring global sustainable development.
