Upcoming Well U Programs!

The beginning of the school year is the perfect time to begin working on a balanced lifestyle with the many programs offered through WELLU. We are excited to bring back programs offered last year, and even a few new ones! Below is a list of the events that will be offered within the first couple months of the school year.

Shape Up begins the week of September 15th
Shape Up provides a free personal trainer to all faculty and staff on campus.

Weight Management begins September 23rd
Work with peers and a trainer to improve physical and social wellness.

Weight Training for Beginners: September 23rd & 24th, & October 2nd
Take advantage of this one time introduction to the weight rooms in the BWC.

Walking Club begins October 2nd
Learn more about the walking book, and improve your health by walking with a group.

Wellness Book Club first meeting October 17th
Focus on putting ideas into action to improve your wellness, instead of just talking about it. Read “What Really Works” by Paul Batz and Tim Schmidt before the first meeting, and learn more.

Brown Bag Lunch/Wellness Talks begins October 10th
We want to respect the ideas of those around us, and take an active role in the wellness discussions. Come listen to a guest speaker, and stay after for a follow-up discussion.

Group Fitness for Employees begins September 15th
Get in shape with your peers by participating in Zumba and a body weight/interval training workout session!

There is always more information about events on our website Don’t forget, extended sites can participate in the activities via Google Air and Google Hangout. We look forward to meeting new faces, and seeing familiar ones from previous years. Make your health goals a priority this year!
