Standing Strong with Newtown: Love is Louder than Violence

Days after the tragedy at Sandy Hook, Kara Whipkey (pictured right) and other residents in Newtown reached out to Love is Louder to help support their community and show the world they would prevail over tragedy.
The world responded by sponsoring Love is Louder yard signs for the town and submitting hundreds of "Love is Louder than Violence" photos, artwork and messages of hope.
We've created a music video to Kelly Clarkson's "The Sun Will Rise" and an original song written and performed by artists in Newtown, that tells this story of hope and healing.
The Jed Foundation and Love is Louder will continue to work with Kara and Newtown by helping them launch events and programs in their schools to support each other and allow their community to heal.
